Dr. Bobby Virk

Dr. Virk earned his Dental Degree from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1998 and called Pacific Northwest home! After running a very busy Family and Cosmetic Dental Group Practice for six years, Dr. Virk decided to pursue his dream as an Orthodontist. He completed his advanced postdoctoral training at Boston University, where he received his Orthodontic Degree and a Master of Science in Dentistry. He returned to Washington State in 2006 and started his orthodontic career.

With the cosmetic and general dentistry background Dr. Virk has a unique prospective of addressing the orthodontic needs of his patients. He works very closely with general and cosmetic dentists, as well as other dental specialists, in order to provide personalized orthodontic care for both children and adults. He also has special interest in TMJ dysfunctions and sleep apnea.

Dr. Virk is very active regarding orthodontic research and strives to keep updated with the latest advances in orthodontics. He accumulates over 200 hours of continuing education hours per year. Dr. Virk is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Society, the King County Dental Society and the Interdisciplinary Study Group Northwest.

Dr. Virk loves spending time with his wife Dr. Skountrianos and their two sons. He enjoys travelling and he is a big Sounders fun.

Stephanie Peterson

Stephanie Peterson entered the dental field in 1999 as a dental assisting student attending South Puget Sound Community College in Washington State. Throughout her studies she developed a keen interest in the Orthodontic Specialty and was hired as an Orthodontic Clinical Assistant immediately following completion of her Dental Assisting training.

Throughout her career she has been awarded training and experience in all team roles of the Orthodontic practice. From sterilization tech, clinical assistant, appliance fabrication technician, clinical director, patient care coordinator, treatment coordinator, marketing manager, to Regional Orthodontic Manager. Her dedication to the field, ability to create and implement systems, and self motivation have ultimately positioned her for her current role as Director of Operations for Novel Orthodontic Network.

Stephanie possess vast knowledge of orthodontics and dentistry bringing over 19 years of orthodontic experience and over 20+years of administrative excellence with a passion for My interest in dentistry began at a very young age ultimately leading to the start of my dental career as a sterilization technician in the general dental practice. During this time I enrolled in a Dental Assisting program where I quickly grew a fascination for the specialty field of orthodontics.

Upon completion of my dental assistant program I was immediately offered two jobs, one in general dentistry and the other in orthodontics. Needless to say I was over the moon about my early entry into the field of orthodontics. I have truly learned from the "ground up" which has given me a deep appreciation and value for every team member in the orthodontic practice. In my career, I have successfully held positions as the dental sterilization technician, chairside dental and orthodontic assistant, orthodontic lab technician, scheduling coordinator, records technician, marketing coordinator, treatment coordinator, front office lead, and team leader, and Regional Orthodontic Manager. In this role, I enjoy assisting in strategic practice planning, enhancing our network through unique marketing efforts and analyzing our successes, motivating the team through positive and effective communication, and using my interpersonal skills to create a rewarding experience for each family.

My orthodontic knowledge and experience include: Damon Braces, Invisalign and Invisalign Teen, Herbst appliance, E-arch, Aligner Therapy, Hawley retainer, Direct Bond Lingual retainer, Damon Splint, Essix, Schwartz, Nance, Rapid Palatal Expander, TMJ therapy, Oral Appliance Therapy for treatment of sleep apnea, Home Sleep Testing for diagnosis of sleep apnea, SEO management, Social Media coordinator, event planning/coordinating to include team CE courses, developed successful "Girls Night" marketing event, Study Club organizer, AGD PACE practice facilitator, travel planning, medical billing, dental insurance, collect/submit payroll data, OSHA/WISHA compliance officer, TOPS Ortho software, Mac computers, electronic charting, and non-profit charity team event planner.

In my personal life, I am most grateful for my family and the values and morals they have instilled in me throughout my life. I believe this has given me a beautiful outlook on life as I truly enjoy every moment with my two beautiful children, husband, family, and friends.

Tanna Curry

Tanna began her journey in dentistry in 2006, immediately after graduating high school. She attended a registered dental assistant program in Tacoma, Washington, and finished her schooling by completing an externship with Dr. Virk and Dr. Skountrianos. This is where Tanna discovered her passion for orthodontics, and for the administrative aspect of the practice. After her externship, she was invited to join Dr. Virk and Dr. Skountrianos’ team, and excelled there as a patient care coordinator for five years.

After getting married and having two children, Tanna went on to work for four years as a treatment coordinator for a prosthodontist who is also an instructor at the world-renowned Kois center in Seattle. This experience furthered her knowledge in restorative and preventative dentistry and occlusion.

Throughout her career, Tanna has continued to enhance her skills by attending numerous courses in practice management, marketing, and medical insurance billing.

As the concierge manager, Tanna will help you have a smooth and enjoyable experience as you become part of the Novel Orthodontics family. She enjoys welcoming new patients to the practice and helping to facilitate them in achieving their ideal smile through Invisalign.

Dr. Paige Kozak

Dr. Paige Kozak is a graduate of the University of Manitoba’s MSc orthodontics program and has been practicing orthodontics exclusively for the past six years. Before discovering her passion for orthodontics, Dr. Kozak spent nearly 10 years as an officer in the Canadian Navy and graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada with a BEng in Chemical and Materials Engineering. Dr. Kozak’s dental career transition began with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry obtained from McGill University followed by a Pediatric residency at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Dr Kozak lives in Ottawa with her husband, twin daughters Autumn and Chloe and their beloved golden doodle. Aside from her passion for creating better smiles, she loves painting, cooking, home renovations, rowing, biking and dressing the twins alike while she still can.
